last night and early this morning was the climax of this year's perseid meteor shower , caused by the earth's passage through debris from the swift-tuttle comet . we decided on short notice to head out of town to see it, so we picked up an autoshare car and drove up highway 400, almost to barrie. we pulled over on the 8th concession road at a patch of gravel with no houses nearby.
