The third post in this Sidetracked in Harrison series, these photos cover the structures and
warehouses immediately to the north of the Harison, NJ tracks of the Port Authority Trans-Hudson
(PATH) commuter light rail
The pink region on the map is a quick overview of this area. And again, here's
an overview map of Harrison, for context

A continuation of the Sidetracked in Harrison series, these photos cover several square blocks of
warehouses in various stages of use/decay. The particular structures pictured here line the south
side of the train track that runs almost directly east-to-west through Harrison, NJ
The pink region on the map shows the area in question a little bit more clearly. Here's it's Googlemap,
and here is an overview map of Harrison, for context
This is the southerly view of the buildings from the NYC-bound PATH platform

Here are some photos of the ruins of the long abandon Bartow /City Island Station of the New York, New Haven And Hartford Railroad located in Pelham Bay Park along Amtrak right of way. The station was opened in 1908 and was designed by Cass Gilbert.

This is the rail-cut leading west out of Penn Station, west into New Jersey from midtown Manhattan, and that's a double-decker NJ Transit train. I particularly liked the skyline-like shadow on the wall above the train...

Not sure why it has DirecTv/Satellite-link...
I don't really know much about this structure aside from passing it countless times on the Rockaway-bound A train and liking the graf. I've always assumed it was sort of pump station, and a look inside shows a network of decaying pipes and pumps with what appears to be a huge cement reservoir above.
Anyone know anything about this thing?
