i finally passed through again, and had a chance to get some updated photos on the progress of efforts there. (here's my original article from 2006) the earlier idealistic billboard at the corner has been replaced with standard commercial signage. inside it looks none too habitable yet. this is the first major building going up on the site. looks decent so far, though i tend to like the look of these things more when they're still half-finished. more of the old low-rise buildings have been cleared and fenced...
