every neighbourhood has its eyesores, and i guess you could say our house is one of them. it's a great old place with lots of "potential", but it's also an old rental property in need of much TLC. our next door neighbour, an old guy called victor, spends all day tending his immaculate vegetable plot out front. sometimes he gazes stonily at our weed-patch. i kind of like the weeds - stomping through them reminds me of being out in a country field. but a couple of days ago some mystery-benefactor mowed them. now another neighbourhood...
