Green-Wood Cemetery Night Tour

author: adam : Brooklyn, NY

Even though the mob of people was at times.. a bit much. It was still cool to catch a glimpse of this beautiful historic cemetary. The night time tour with led to some interesting ghostly images in and out of the catacombs.

A modern day hotbed of wanton neglect belies any of the original intentions of preserving the remembrance of lost loved ones at Acacia Cemetery. This is less an educational set than a pictorial journey through a place that is slowly succumbing to Mother Nature, and unfortunately, a fair share of vandalism. Some may find this a bit macabre and I fully understand that. Yet others, like myself can look at these photos and realize the swiftness of our existence, the wonderment of being alive, and the subtle beauty of decay. I approached this photoshoot tastefully, with the intentions of representing just that....

Canalside Gasworks

Truly these structures have majesty. And what is more than their scale is that their clockworkery has massive visual impact sometimes daily - the tiny wheels that run up the vertical girders facilitate these huge tanks completely filling and emtying...
