Trees, Wires, and Mysterious Buildings

I took a trip to Budapest this January to visit a close friend and fell in love with the city the second I stepped off the plane. The buildings are dark and mysterious, and there are beautiful silhouettes of the tree branches and wires tangling together against the mid-winter sky. I tried to get a few shots of these elements, emphasis on tried, as well as a couple other oddities around the city - ex. the adorable little ash trays outside the metro exits/entrances that people politely use!

Ugliest Building in New York?

On a recent walking tour of Coney Island, Francis Morrone (www.francismorrone.com) described the Abe Stark Sports Center as one of the Ugliest Buildings in New York. I can't say that I disagree. From the utilitarian 1960s-era bomb-shelter aesthetic to the general apparent lack up maintenance, as well as the impassable fencing and steel pull-down doors, this structure seems to have many prerequisites for such a classification. Not to mention the element...
