 July 9, 2006. The temperature was 29 degrees celsius (85 degrees fahrenheit) The weather was sunny with some clouds. The 16th annual Echoes of a Proud Nation Pow-Wow was underway. An annual event held on the weekend closest to July 11 each year, the Pow-Wow was first held in 1991, as a means of beginning the healing process after the Oka Crisis of 1990.
For some reason, I am reminded of Monty Python's "Spam" skit.
