"Get on the sidewalk! I said, Get on the sidewalk!" is what this Metro Police officer said over his loudspeaker to this homeless guy as I was walking up Richmond towards Montrose. The homeless guy gave them some lip but with their AC's on and windows rolled up they didn't hear him. He eventually made his way to the sidewalk as the cops rolled on.

I got on the train at 50th Street, just north of Times' Square. It's cold here in the winter, and my first priority upon boarding the train was to quickly stake out a seat near a heat-vent and settle in....
