I took these photos somewhere between July and June this summer underneath the infamous Montreal ringways (mainly Décarie) which are under constant reconstruction. When you walk underneath these ringways and look up, at the bottom of the road, you can actually see missen pieces of concrete along with red and blue spray marks tagging the weak spots going under repair. These marks are not of course tags which writers are known for but marks for the reconstruction company to keep a record of their never ending work. Some time before the turn of the century I managed to get hold of a sweet Polaroid 100 outfit... Found a photo shop downtown that still sold pack film and the battery needed for this camera... My first effort fubared badly but the results were kinda neat... second try wasn't so bad... Chemtrails - this was very slow film... Artsey ventilator shot... Prada Meinhoffish Bad Art

Taken on Richelieu near du College, same building as this. maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF . . . .000886,0.002744&t=h&z=19 I have seen a number of these scooter-head paste-ups around Montreal in the last year or so. It would appear the marker-bearing self-appointed art critics have come out to play as well. Bilingual scathing criticism of a paste-up... Only in Montreal. Excellent production and execution. But overall way too fucking Prada Meinhoffish! Somehow, the criticm of this one seems a bit less educated in tone.
