I used to live there before gentrification. Lots of crack vials crunching underfoot. Still..always sort of a quirky place, lots of those sorts of sights, yeah.

Peter: 26th Aug 2005 - 18:48 GMT

when talking about williamsburg, i find that many people love discussing their pre-gentrification experiences there.

Deshant: 26th Aug 2005 - 19:49 GMT

Not all of Williamsburg has been gentrified as you can see. Talks of displaced SoHo brats and pregnant hipsters make up the Bedford Ave. population but the Orthodox Jewish and Latino population still keep the NYC flavor salty instead of milquetoast

vancouver: that evict is super sick

a little geography lesson - all the suckas who think they live in williamsburg really live in greenpoint. williamsburg is south of the wb bridge.realtors expanded traditional borders. the owners are no better. that r.i.p. child is the shit. good rep for pseudo big willy. hello subway sandwiches goodbye to being able to even get on the subway(L)>

this does not look like brooklyn. brooklyn has trees. ;)
oh wait, you're in williamsburg! :)
no, really, I can't understand why people *want* to live there. I know why people *have* to live there -- money issues, projects, etc. but *want* to be there? it's not pretty, it's really scary, in my opinion. not the people, the construction/surroundings. and lack of trees. :(

Peter: 29th Aug 2005 - 13:44 GMT

yeah the trees are missing. but at least there arent as many yuppies as in proho, heh!
