Things I Hate About... Bad Cops

It's been a while, so I am writing another one of my infamous Things I Hate About... lists. This one is unusual, because I am also writing a list of the Things I Love About... Good Cops at the same time. Other subjects of my gripe lists include Traffic, Public Transit, Internet Chat, Parking and Grocery Shopping. On the good side, there are aticles praising things that was started by Micah with her article about Things I Love About Public Transit, as well as my article about Things I Love About... Living in the City

I think it is fair to say that we have all had experiences involving the police at one time or another, whether it is as a victim, suspect, witness, good samaritan or we just happen to see the police in action doing something. Usually, the police are good people doing a good job. But sometimes, they are power-hungry bullies out to get whatever they can. This article lists some of the things that I hate about the cops who violate the code of conduct that they are supposed to have.

BAD COPS

1 - Cops who act like control freaks just because they can get away with it
2 - Cops who use racial profiling
3 - Cops who are trigger happy, or way too quick to use excessive force
4 - Cops who only beat visible minority suspects
5 - Cops who drive real slow while trying to give everyone intimidating looks
6 - Cops who write tickets for things that are not true, just because they do not like someone
7 - Cops who harass or beat people for asking them questions about their conduct
8 - Cops who hinder public scrutiny of police actions
9 - Cops who hide their badge numbers and name tags whenever they feel like it
10 - Cops who lie to protect other bad cops
11 - Cops who continue high-speed chases of non-violent suspects through school zones
12 - Cops who provoke people to commit crimes
13 - Cops who lie to entrap people
14 - Cops who assault people for crimes as petty as jaywalking
15 - Cops who think yelling at people who speak other languages will make them understand

There is so much more. I think I will say it better if I let you guys voice a few of your ideas, so as to get my mind more on track.
