I think I'd have a little trouble digesting those feathers ;-D.

procyon: 1st Nov 2006 - 03:19 GMT

I bet they're more fun to look at than they are to eat... are those solid marzipan? But they are beautiful to look at. These colors remind me of a reversible snow jacket I had in preschool (late 1980s).

Nug Flex: 1st Nov 2006 - 04:18 GMT

You think so? I bet they would be good with a little hot sauce. That comment about the feathers was hilarious, I don't think I would eat them either. In fact, I bet they are just part of the decoration or something.

GGP: 1st Nov 2006 - 13:58 GMT

sugar skulls, lambs, and easter eggs--great combo. very nice to see these.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 1st Nov 2006 - 19:29 GMT

The skulls are hollow, but the smaller animals are solid. I think you are meant to eat them very carefully as the sheep (?) have wool on their heads.

jj: 5th Nov 2006 - 05:45 GMT

you dont actually eat them. they are put on the day of the dead alters and the spirits of the dead come and eat them

elaine: 5th Nov 2006 - 16:03 GMT

seems to me that snacks are wasted on the dead, but what do i know? if i was dead and could eat snacks i would be chuffed to bits that someone brought me sweets instead of flowers.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 5th Nov 2006 - 23:00 GMT

I took the sugar skulls to a halloween party where several people nibbled them. I also made this cake. Yes it is a cake. A cat litter cake. I cheated somewhat and used two squarish cakes and crumbled shortbread cookies on it. Then I heated tootsie rolls and molded them into craptastic pooplings. A clean scoop and litter tray, and voila, I'll never be invited back there again.

Loved the cat litter tray cake! Would this work with something savoury? Barf up pizza. No, maybe not...

Susannah: Not very appetizing - did anyone eat it?

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 6th Nov 2006 - 17:53 GMT

Everyone (except a few wussies) had some. It was basically two Entenmanns golden cakes with fudge icing and shortbread crumbs. image 17072

Susannah: Martha (Stewart) would have been proud!

Micah: 14th Nov 2006 - 02:33 GMT

Gross gross gross! The crap-tootsie rolls look to me like squirmy worms or leeches. They look like they are trying to squirm out of the dish. Or, if it is supposed to be poop, they could be mutant poop parasites. Can't stop shuddering. Very creative though.

briaunna rachel and dustin: 21st Nov 2006 - 14:50 GMT

ok the head things are a tad bit weird but they look good to eat and they look pretty cool but the things in the kitty litter box are really freaky and whoever the crazy b**** that put that on there and watever the turd lookin things are id rather eat my own butt hole than eat those.
love briaunna rachel and dustin

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 21st Nov 2006 - 16:46 GMT

That crazy b**** would be me.

susannah: 25th Nov 2006 - 14:03 GMT

not crazier than Martha - she be buggin' or was it trippin', the memory fades as age progresses.
