To be in the Willetts Point area feels like taking a step back into the 19th century of America. No, they did not have cars, but nor did they have paving, or much in the way of central govt. services. That’s the way it is here. The Iron Triangle is slowly being starved for infrastructure by a city that wants to eradicate the body shops and remediate it for development. The city is in a state of denial, so the Iron Triangle rusts away and away. But you can always find something to smile about between muffler jobs.
