Apparently, someone has abandoned a Vespa on a side-street in front of a brownstone in Prospect Heights... The limbs of the bushes are actually growing through the handlebars, there's a rusty propane tank sitting on the floorboard and the tires are rotted out.
I'm toying with the idea of "rescuing" it... Hmm...
Forthe scooter geeks out there, it appears to be an '82 P125, and has a 1982 NYC license plate to boot.

why would anyone abandon a vespa like this? nice photos petey man. it looks almost as though he is sulking.

the engine is seized and the cost would be more than the cost for a previously owned vespa, but then again it is older and pretty.

not true, jack. i could get it restored for under $1000, and in good shape, it might sell for closer to $3000. a simple engine overhaul (i could do the rest myself) would only be a couple of hundred bucks. old vespas are classics, man.

can i have it. tell me where it is. i want it bad. i need it bad.. got to have it. my wife will make me drive her around on it. no forget it. too cold outside. i could move to ca. then it would be good. what am i saying i cant move, aw shucks, forgetaboutit.
