Brooklyn Museum, Eastern Parkway... Brooklyn, NY - Peter - Wednesday, June 15th, 2005 : goo [previous] :: [next] This is the Manhattan-bound platform of the Brooklyn Museum/Eastern Parkway 2/3 subway line. Eastern Parkway lies atop the station, and it exits right in front of the Brooklyn Museum. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is also at this stop... Many subway stations have lovely old mosaics proclaiming the stop... most of these were done in the old days, 1900-1930s, before the MTA became such a profit-hungry, cost-cutting bureaucracy... This sign indicates what lies above. The mosaic is also visible, underneath... Some random station information, added here simply for tose that like seeing random signs... Eastern Parkway... The sign designating what stops lie on this line, and what times of day/at which station the trains actually stop (the 2/3 runs express through some parts of town)... Ahh, finally... heres the 2 train! Gotta go to work... I always liked this station. It was the last normal one before things got scary.
