I can't find where exactly this place was but I know it was between Huntsville, ON and North Bay, ON on the east side of Highway 11. It was the usual tourist trap place with a deer petting zoo, lots of animal furs, cheap trinkets, and authentic Native items. Just like all the rest. Except this one had these really interesting old prints screwed into wooden frames on the beams supporting the edge of the awning in front of the building.

native american people have fabulous facial features. since i was born in america can i say i'm native american? (and no wisecracks from the peanut gallery).

Aw darn, I was hoping to see the trinkets. Most of us Native Americans find it hilarious to see "authentic" Native souvenirs that have little innocuous labels proclaiming them to be made in China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, etc. The most "authentic" ones are sometimes made in Brazil or Mexico.
jack, I dunno about that one. You are definitely native to America, but the phrase "Native American" tends to carry a somewhat different meaning. Tell you what, you can call yourself native American (note my seemingly-random capitalization), if by virtue of me growing up with my primary sustenance being composed of pasta dishes allows me to proclaim that "I grew up Italian"
