Montreal Circa 1979

While I was back in my home town in New Brunswick this week, my mother pulled out some pictures of her trip to Montreal to see Rod Stewart at the old Montreal Fourm in 1979. Most of the pictures were of her and her friends at bars and in the hotel with their 1970s facial hair and colourful pants, however, these three pictures were taken from her hotel room. Based on what I can tell from the first two pictures, the window faced east somewhere between Ste Catherine and Dorchester (now René-Lévesque). The city has changed quite a lot since these pictures were taken so I am at a loss as to where exactly the hotel was situated although, based on the distance from The Sun Life Building and Place Ville-Marie, I'm assuming it was somewhere near the Concordia campus (possibly MacKay, Bishop or Crecent). I am not exactly sure what the function of the building in the third picture was, however, I am almost certain it is now gone.

Unfortunately I did not have access to a scanner so I had to use my digital camera to reproduce the photos and touched them up in Photoshop.
