Confused?

so am i. This article has been viewed 4050 times in the last 2 years Peter: 3rd Apr 2006 - 14:25 GMTnice score! this reminds me of the seinfeld eposide where kramer gets "lost" downtown, and calls for help... when he tells them he's at "the intersection of first and first" he freaks out and screams "this is the nexus of the universe!" though i suppose 1st avenue and 1st street are technically two specifically different entities, whereas thompson rd and thompson rd are exactly the same... freaky... ITS THE NEXUS OF THE UNIVERSE! Tyfoid Kid: 3rd Apr 2006 - 16:01 GMTdid this fall into "that's not my job catagory?" I just put the signs up, it's someone elses job to make sure they're right. Elicar: 3rd Apr 2006 - 16:10 GMTSo, what's the story behind Jeeff? Are the signs on special, 2 for the price of one? I would hate giving directions on that one. EvilGentleman: 4th Apr 2006 - 00:12 GMTDarn, I was just thinking of taking a picture of the corner of Saint Patrick and Saint Patrick in Lasalle last night, but it was too dark. EvilGentleman: 4th Apr 2006 - 00:26 GMTActually, on the road map of Quebec, Highway 132 follows the south coast of the Saint Lawrence River, then curves around the Gaspe peninsula until it intersects itself at Mont-Joli. I have no idea how the directions of the highway are denoted there, but if you use one direction consistently, as North American highways usually do (Like Interstate 95 South actually travelling West across Connecticut, or I-75 N heading due West across the Everglades of Florida), then Highway 132 E turns South, then West, then North until it intersects 132 E and 132 W at Mont-Joli. (I think I made sense...) drea: 4th Apr 2006 - 00:31 GMTMy street has a sign like that too, but there was a third one. I'll find the time to take a picture and post it up. It think the streets meet each other to form either a crescent or a square. At least my street does that. (My street confused me a little too at the beginning) jeeff: 6th Apr 2006 - 15:00 GMT
it's the result of a pair of weird little offshoots at a bend in the road. i don't know why the city planners would have added these, or why they decided to give them a streetsign, or why they didn't give them different names. a mystery wrapped inside an enigma. ps. the above image is edited because google maps didn't reflect the real layout.
