This is "Babe" of babes Muffler in San Jose CA. near The Shark tank. rather than his typical muffler in hand, he is holding a hockey stick to show his support for the team.
Years ago -There were more than 1 In San Jose- as a matter of fact I remember 3 locations of Babe's Muffler when I was a kid. all are gone from san José now except this one. I hear one of the gentle giants ended up somewhere in the central valley and now dawns a cowboy hat.
Babe is certainly a remnant of a bygone era where "signage" was king in the advertising world. I am glad that at least there are a few reminders like babe to provide a window back to a "simpler time"

mr d. i've seen this guy a lot in the last two years. i take natasha to the 17 express at didion station so she can get back to uc santa cruz. if you don't mind i'll add one of my pics.

Not all of Babes Family are as mechanically inclined as babe himself is... his brother Pedro for example decided to go into the restaurant business.
All work and "no Play" would make babe a dull boy!- here in a rare family photo you can see him enjoying some down time in Texas where everything, Like babe, is BIG.
But babe’s life is by no means without its share of trouble! hi oldest daughter Penny, just cant seem to "keep it together" she was recently spotted trying to hitch a ride, with a friendly stranger in Il.
