sweet photos - is this anywhere near Aughakillymaude? The only refs I can find are for the mummers (bless em) - my family's from there and these are the first actual photos I've seen of the lough.

anon (pool-70-19-88-151.ny325.east.verizon.net): 5th Sep 2007 - 14:29 GMT

Aughakillymaude is on the other side of the lough from here. Though it all looks quite similar, having tried to navigate it myself (not recommended). My mother used to row from her home on one the islands to go to school in Aughakillymaude.

James Oxley: 30th Dec 2007 - 17:30 GMT

wow - thanks for that. she may well have been taught by my grandmother - Mary Cassidy - our family home is right by the old school building. if anyone wants to get back to me with any info on the area my email is palace114@hotmail.com
cheers !!
