Old news I know, but hey I'm new to this site ;)
Anyways, plume of smoke blotted out half of London, felt like night when it was day. Took this photo from my place:
Hefty black smoke to the left, not sure if that was the reason the street lights switched on so early.
Furthermore on the story, see news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4517962.stm (Check the links' photos of the accident, some great ones on there)

Edinburgh
Walking to work this morning, a little cold as that isnt snow you see there, thats after a night of freezing fog.
First time ive seen it like this, it was coming down like glitter last night when you looked at a street light.
Appologies for quality, taken on a Nokia 6630.

I enjoy wandering around Manchester taking photographs for a few hours. Even with a hangover.

Just adding a few of my older pictures of Edinburgh up - these are mostly pictures of the Tourist attractions just now. Will post more Graffiti and funky stuff after this.
The One O'clock Gun (Edinburgh Castle}The firing of a gun at one o'clock every day started as a means of giving the sailing ships in Leith harbour an accurate time check to assist them their navigation. And is still fired at 1pm every day.
Edinburgh Castle taken just after a snowshower.

Three Stones
I found three stones on the beach today.
On our walk - me and Ted -
Black stones all three,
With markings, each one
different, in every way.
One is splashed and spotted with milk and smoke
and shaped - a sort of toe!
Another is blacker, squeezed and tied as if with string,
contorted into shape.
Christmas, overweight.
The third, an afterthought
Took me by surprise.
A perfect speckled lozenge, nestled in my hand,
It fits my palm and comforts me
So cool and smooth my stone.
A walk along my beach
A struggle, a joy, a chore
Three stones, today my trophies
Yesterday ignored.
Nic Collins - beach musing!
