Old Railway Walk

A few snaps from a walk down a disused railway at Keswick in the Lake District, UK. It's been turned into a pleasant footpath, with numerous small bridges over the River Greta. It was used to transport coke (not the drinking stuff) and also bobbins for the cotton industry. A bridge through a tunnel: Framed - under the main road: Very Old Graffiti? Over the river: After reaching Keswick itself, a small walk (via Cumbrian sausage and mash and a pint of Snecklifter in one of the numerous pubs) takes you to Derwent Water: If I'd been feeling braver I'd have just climbed over this gate and...
