Trees spouting clouds. Or vice versa?
The noblest lion I've come across lately.
The very best of cellar doors...
speckled with rain.
The milkman runeth.
Lonely payphonetics.
Quadraped-heads.
Number with a chip on its shoulder.
A violin-maker's studio.

They looked so happy flying in the rain.

I spent the weekend in Philadelphia for the first time in ages. Tons of great stuff I hope to post in the coming days. We'll start off with some buildings.
Confession: I took the liberty of whiting out the background on this nice old building because it was getting on my nerves.
The next three shots are from the post office, depicting the "delivery in all weather/circumstances" credo.
The electric company substation--reminds me of the marble you see in cemeteries...the kind you want to touch for luck.
No idea what the deal is with (beach).
The postman rang twice for "Luck," but alas, no one...

The city of brotherly love is one of my favorite cities, and one of the few towns the landmarks of which I've seen several times and never grow tired. I went there a few weeks ago, and found it hard to leave. Maybe I'm just a sap for early American history.
Independence Hall.
Independence Hall, again.
Looking out from Independence Hall, in that room where they signed all the really important stuff.
Same building, different window.
I personally think "christmas" lights should be left up year round. Particularly in the summer, I mean then you can go outside and enjoy them.
The moon, hiding from me.

In the summer of 2004, I made a trip with a church group to work with inner city youth. It was a very interesting and eye opening experience for so many different reasons. If you don't know anything about the Kensington area of Philadelphia, it is one of the poorest areas of the city with a flourishing drug trade. My visit there was the first time I had ever seen an armed robbery. If the stories some of the kids told me were true (which they are, kids don't make that stuff up) an armed robbery...
