Remember spring? This is a bit of what it looked like in the little oasis surrounding my house. I've been so busy at work, I only dumped down the few shots I've taken in the last two months last weekend, so now there's all this out of date material to look at. Part of what I love about photography (and city photography in particular) is that it allows you to remember the little, mundane details that change subtly over time, and that all add up to create your reality on any given day.

Despite living right downtown in Toronto, I am lucky enough to have a large, verdant back yard. We not only have Raccoons, but a plethora of birds, cats, and sqirrels that gather at (and beneath)the feeder, and scurry away when I come out to go to work in the morning. Just recently we spotted a new inhabitant of our little nature scene - a cute, plump groundhog. He (she?) lives in the otherwise uninhabited stable house on the left.

Not too sure what this was all about, maybe a garden, or campsite sitaround, was off the road, had steps leading down into it, a bench in the middle, and what looks to be a store of sorts
Steps down into the pit
Small wooden store
And then I saw this jackass in the woods
Just a little hidden.... Was boarded up tight, even the backdoor
The former house next door
All that was there to see.... and no tires!
