here are some photos from my recent escape from citynoise, a camping trip to Algonquin_Provincial_Park. algonquin is the largest provincial park in ontario, and the jewel of muskoka, the so-called "cottage country" north of toronto. we camped on tom thomson lake, a 3-4 hour canoe trip into the park (just barely into the backcountry). Tom_Thomson was a great canadian painter from the early 20th century who died mysteriously on a canoeing trip in the park in 1917. like the group of seven painters, he found inspiration...
