Abandoned... NY State Pavilion

Inspired by this post, I recently accessed the abandoned and decaying New York State Pavilion, designed by Philip Johnson for the 1964 New York World's Fair... One of the decaying elevator cars that originally took passengers to the cafeteria and observation deck above... An airplane approaching LaGuardia Airport in Queens... Looking up towards the observation decks... BVM and Friends

I've started collecting pictures of garden sculptures. Here are a few Blessed Virgin Marys (BVM) and assorted friends. No one is going to steal this BVM. Glowing white in her garden grotto. BVM and dainty blue breeze blocks. I don't know what this donkey saw, but his eyes have been duct-taped shut. Let that be a warning to you. Not BVM, but the big guy's only son.
