Curiously, it was only after reading the above-linked Wiki entry that I discovered that this 675,000+ square-foot behemouth was designed by I. M. Pei, and is currently undergoing an expansion that will enlarge it by over 45%.
Curiously, the above link also mentioned the NY Coliseum, which I remember watching them tear down in order to build this...
