this is it, the park, the beginning of west side story, snapping fingers, dancers trying to look and act like rough kids from hell's kitchen, the park has changed quite a bit, the old buildings are still down the street, the kids all grown, the park went from gangs to drug pushers to cute little kids again, thanks to rudy, this is between 9th and 10th avenues and 48th street or 49th street.
i went to the manhattan high school for printing on 49th street, they renewed the entire building in the 60's, here it is.

 As part of my job, I recently had the pleasure of working at the top (52nd) floor of 7 World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. I spent most of the night marvelling at the top of the wonderful Woolworth Building, and taking in some of the other rather nice views.
One day I will get a tripod for my camera and I will be able to take decent night shots. In order to get these to be clean, I had to place the camera on the floor in front of the full length windows which form all four walls...
