Cadena De Amor

author: Elicar : Northern Philippines

image 23910
Cadena de Amor (Chain of Love) is a climbing plant that used to be found only in the countryside. www.flickr.com/photos/dinesh_valke/430465623/ Because it is very invasive, people do not want it in their gardens. However, in my last visit, I noticed them everywhere in Metro Manila: under bridges, on fences, etc. I was told that it is a result of an effort by the government to make Metro-Manila GREEN. I took this series of photographs at the cemetery of my hometown, Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur. www.santa.gov.ph/ilocossur/cmstacruz.html I find them very pretty.

Bushfire Smoke

there's huge bushfires just out of melbourne at the moment, the worst since about 1930. Many days in the past couple of weeks have seen the city covered in a low smoke-haze.
