In NordEast Minneapolis as it's known around here. It's one of those hole in the wall places we go for lunch. Hot Dogs, Burgers, French Fries and Onion Rings made right in front of you. One person taking the orders one making the food. Love the hot dog door handle with the serious Scooby Doo fetish (there's lots more inside.) ya know it's good food when the grease stain on the outside can't be painted over.

Riding My Bike Around Downtown

Took the day off, took the bike to downtown Minneapolis and snapped some pictures. I think is is really a violin shop. Old wall painting. I remember when 7Up looked like this. Minneapolis City Hall 1st Avenue (or 1st AV to the locals) Ya know, where they filmed Purple Rain. Lots of bands have played 1st AV or the 7th St. Entry (the other stage in there.) Urban Canyon type photo (a little keystoning going on here.) The REALLY cheap seats at Target Center (probably where most Wolves fans would like to watch from. Makes walking out easier.) Thunderstorm Rolling In

Sitting in the hotel, watching the storm head our way on radar on the tv. Put the camera on a tripod and took a few shots every few minutes as it came at us from the Northwest. That's the airport in the foreground. It was a little one so the whole sequence was like 20 minutes.

This is from the 2nd of February (I've been busy . . ) Anyway, middle of the day, in a meeting and we look over and here's the black smoke rolling out of this building one block over (you can see the Metrodome in the background.) There was (is) this cool little bar on the first floor called Maxwell's. I believe they are going to come back since the building is being rehabbed and none of the signage has been taken down.
