Two Views of Tallahassee

I wanted to post two images that give an accurate feel of what "progress" (e.g., urban sprawl) has done to the face of Florida. The first image is of West Tennessee Street in Tallahassee around 1954. The view is taken near the intersection with Macomb Street, not far from Florida State University. As you can see, the road is only 2-lane, with trees and small businesses lining the shoulder.
