jeeff: artists are only an example in this case because the neighbourhood became an art destination. i would be equally concerned if the neighbourhood had been turned around by portuguese bakers, who were then priced......

jeeff: in toronto most of the various ethnic neighbourhoods just get the "little" tag - little portugal, little korea, little india, etc. and yet we still have 2 'chinatown' neighbourhoods in the east and west....
