Peter: a bodega is a hispanic grocery... more like a mini-mart. usually open all night, with an atm out front. they sell sandwiches, beer/beverages, a limnited amount of groceries, lots of snacks, smokes, cleaning supplies, etc......... Peter: heh. there are plenty of stores like that around nyc... on the avenue near where i live, theres a bodega (corner-store) that has had rotting cassavas and squashes in their window for several weeks... yet......
