Searching the Internet for information on Dubrow’s Cafeteria and the Famous restaurant on Eastern Parkway at Utica Avenue, I discovered this wonderful site. It brought back many wonderful memories for...... Charles: I used to hang out in the tunnel back in 79 and again in the early 80's when the conrail had the frieght trains running and that was the best time back then. Too bad...... Gemini: I have lived in Bushwick for most of my life. I have lived on my street for 34 yrs. Bushwick is like any other neighborhood it has it's ups and downs. I referred to it...... Movie Place: I vividly remember the yard south of 72nd Street. I remeber standing on top of a ventalation opening (all those grates that give the tunnel it's beautiful lighting effects) watching the fan on top...... EvilGentleman: anon, I thank you for educating us on the train parts. I think of trains as big noisy metal things that carry stuff, and sometimes have graf on the outside. I am a total moron...... serlingrod: Love it! As you know from my previous post, trolley tracks are one of my favorite urban elements! This is a great shot. I'd love to see some of the trains!
