I thought your group...... Mike: Indeed, I used to shop at the IGA, while it was further west on N-Dame st., near parc Sir G-É. Cartier. I can still remember people stocking up on on chicken legs, milk, canned juices,...... Montrealbunny: This is along the canal going west past the market and the train tracks. Here's a shot from a bit further back - I bet you'll recognize it in an instant by the tip...... Montrealbunny: I was back down there today but decided to walk west (away from the city) rather than east. I saw several gentlemen with cameras along the way and must admit (blush) that I wondered...... coolopolis.blogspot.com: Photos were all taken from the Maritime Plaza Hotel, northwest corner of Guy and Dorchester (the latter street has since been renamed after a cursed separatist politician). The third photo is of the Desjardins seafood...... EvilGentleman: Ah yes, I know this run well. Journeyed from Nunavut to Winnipeg by plane, then to Montreal and back by Greyhound. With my son, who was age six at the time. And that was all...... EvilGentleman: The areas bordering Verdun are pretty much the same, as well.

Ville-Emard, to the north of Verdun, has...... EvilGentleman: Hey, no problem from my end. You can name your business whatever you like, and based on how vociferously you defend it, the kids there are probably well taken care of.
I will still snicker a...... EvilGentleman: My hometown is {Kahnawake}, across the {Mercier Bridge} from {Lasalle}. I have been living in {Dorval} for the last two years, and I have also lived in {Lachine} and {Verdun}. I am also very familiar...... Danny: My top 5:
1)Toronto: the biggest in Canada by far
2) Montreal: very colorful at night
3) Calgary: up and comming Western city
...... EvilGentleman: Hehe, the local Costco here in Montreal's West Island area has had Christmas trees and decorations (for sale) out on display since the last week of August! It was 30 degrees (86 F) that week....... EvilGentleman: Three weeks ago, my van was hit by a man from Toronto driving the wrong way down {Sainte-Catherine} Street in Montreal.
I was standing outside the bar having a cigarette and drinking a Coke (I never,...... CE: This alley runs north/south whereas the railway runs east/west (by Montreal definitions which anyone from Montreal knows have nothing to do with what a compass might tell you). The trees that can bee seen...... EvilGentleman: I saw this post the day it was first posted, and had not looked back it till today. What a lot of comments about stolen bikes in the Toronto area! Incredible.
Reminds me of this guy...... EvilGentleman: The simple reality is, Americans are welcomed warmly by most Montrealers, and generally disliked but tolerated by the rest. And that dislike is often because they are getting mistaken for Torontonians, or other English-speaking Canadians.
Dislike...... Louis Le Grand: I just had my racing COPPI bike stolen, last saturday. Went to visit my aunt at Soeurs St Joseph, in Lachine, west of Montreal. Asked the security man if possible to let the bike in,...... CE: The first half seem so wealthy to me because they look very much like the housing stock in parts of {Westmount} (and some of the wealthier areas of {NDG}) here in Montreal. These neighbourhoods...... Tehoke: This picture seems to be taken about 5 blocks west of The Sun Life building, from an upper floor of what is now the Quality Inn on Crescent Street or More likely the building that...... CE: This reminds me a lot of {Sherbrooke} Street in Montreal on the west end of {Ville-Marie} and east end of {Westmount}... EvilGentleman: Some of the best parts of Montreal are the less wealthy, such as Point-St-Charles and Saint-Henri. EvilGentleman: Ah yes, this was put up this summer on Pierce Street, a little residential lane that runs between Sainte-Catherine and de Maisonneuve a half block west of Guy Street. I turn down this lane on...... EvilGentleman: That picture was taken from the corner of Atwater and Sainte-Catherine, at the west end of downtown. The metro station is Atwater. Westmount is generally a lot more residential, but I wanted a picture of......
