Mitch: Pretty sad, it's quite literally a piece of Montreal being erased forever (I can't even visualize that part of downtown without that tiny 3 story building with the red "Bens" sign). Joey, the problem with the height signs is, they are all metric here. I have no clue how many centimeters tall...... EvilGentleman: Good point, but in Montreal, we have speed limits, unlike on the autobahns. And North American headlight flashing is usually reserved for emergencies, telling drivers to go ahead at stop signs and letting big-rig drivers...... EvilGentleman: The areas bordering Verdun are pretty much the same, as well.
Pointe-Saint-Charles, east of Verdun, is historically Irish, and today is a mixed community where English is not a problem.
