Sirhcbre: I felt the same way when {Marlo} started posting from Fredericton.
I like wandering around and recognizing something only to remember that I had seen it from one of your posts. It's a...... Marlo: Thank you, editors!... Marlo: I love the Hart Shoe factory building. It's makes the walk down York so much more interesting, if only because it stands out like a sore thumb undergoing recovery.
Starting a business + school +...... Marlo: How strange! A couple of my friends and I went to Fundy on Sunday and we passed through Sussex.
I agree-- it's out of character and far too obviously commercial for them to be painting...... Marlo: Hm. Somehow my title didn't make it to the title are. Do quotation marks mess with the coding?... Marlo: Wind turbines--- so rational, like bicycles. I hope they're lit at night to prevent birds from flying into them.
Really amazing structures....
... Marlo: What an amazing post. I'm so happy this resurfaced!... Marlo: I just realized I used the word 'wonderful' twice in one post. I apologize for the repetition.
... Marlo: There's also one that says, 'Need a bin?' which is wonderful advertising.
EvilGentleman, thank you for that wonderful pun!... Marlo: How do you explain a bloodied chainsaw to border crossing authorities? "I was trying to open my catsup package and needed something sharp."
That is very disturbing... I do recall hearing something about it on the...... Marlo: I've never been, myself, though from the outsider's perspective it seems to be strictly bottles.
Lots of crashing and smashing going on, with a line up of cars Saturday and Sunday, drivers eager to be redeemed...... Marlo: How can you trust a gaint garbage bin? ... Marlo: Yes, I imagine it is a bit odd... you having been the only contributor to the Fredericton section until now. And Fredericton IS so small it's hard not to recognize a place.
... Marlo: Yes, emphatic, wasn't he?
I took this last night on York near Charlotte.... Marlo: What does the writing on the green light say?... Marlo: It was a well thought out jump. I wanted to get away from Dallas, go north, to a different country, where English is spoken, and be able to subsist financially, all while getting an interesting...... Marlo: khoroscho, spasibo! Kak dela?
... Marlo: :) My pleasure!... Marlo: I can certainly relate. I had felt the need to get out of my home town (Dallas, TX) since I was a very small child, and university gave me that opportunity. You might be able...... Marlo: You're going to Montreal I've gathered-- that'll be nice. But why (if you don't mind my asking) are you leaving Fredericton? New school?... Marlo: They're beautiful--- like shadows.... Marlo: But even the least expensive equipment can yield some interesting results. A clever way to raise awareness-- I hope it provokes some thoughtful, positive responses. ... Marlo: Thanks :)

Marlo: You've initiated a newfound respect in me for this culture-- wonderful photos!... Marlo: I remember when Starbucks wasn't so bad.... but always expensive. At least they have fair trade coffee available and are trying to integrate better recycling procedures. And I admit, I still like their espresso....... Marlo: Or part of the city's nervous system. There's a somehow intimate experience one has when coming upon the pipes and organs of a city. Or perhaps that's just my skewed imagination.
Intriguing photograph. ... Marlo: New Brunswick. ... Marlo: There was much more on the green. Tents, junk food, a few small amusement-park-like rides, bad music, hyperactive children, and many people decked out in white and red .
The fireworks that evening were nice.... Marlo: Lovely. What a strange sort of optimism.
Pass the petrol-sauce. ... Marlo: There's a fair trade cafe on the St Thomas campus (a nice alternative to the otherwise almost monopolistic Tim's) which gives a discount if you bring in your own coffee/tea mug. Fair Trade AND pro-environment....... EvilGentleman: Firstly, I see someone has already "Rrrrrrolled up the rrrrrrrim" on the pictured cup.
Secondly, I must admit I miss New Brunswick. I have not seen it since 1989, and have not lived there since 1980....... Marlo: Hm yes, Zagg, I think Tim Hortons consumption is the source of many problems, operating covertly of course.
