The High Line:

author: Peter : New York, NY

You may have read about the High Line on here before... or perhaps . Also www.forgotten-ny.com/SUBWAYS/Ten . . . 0Ave%20trestle/Tenth.html and www.bluejake.com/archives/2007/0 . . . 5/22/highline_in_flux.php Read the information on those links for background, then enjoy the photos I took after managing to get into that space yesterday... Bushwick 77: The Casusos of Harman St.

author: upfromflames : Brooklyn, NY

photo by Molinari, courtesy Daily News Statistics being what they are, it takes a face to make most folks care. In Bushwick, in ’77, the Casusos of Harman Street were the faces that folks cared about. photo by Molinari, courtesy Daily News They were a third generation family who steadfastly refused to leave their block. Instead they tried to live normal lives amidst the desolation. And they fought, through their block association, to get some vital help into Bushwick. It was not easy in those days photo by Demoni, courtesy Daily News As Bushwick hit its worst stride, in July of ’77,...

There are other similar theories also like the "Theory of fluctuating attractions", or the "Caveman theory". The idea behind all these theories is to find the reasons men and women attract, accept or reject each other and sometimes start reacting or acting in an uncertain or a certain way. Gone are the days when you could see a hot specimen, club them in the head and drag them back to your abode...

The 38th Parallel (DMZ, JSA, MDL)

author: chiamattt : Korea

For a good explanation of what the DMZ is and what has happened there over the years, please visit en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Demilitarized_Zone. It is a rather interesting read. While tensions are much lower these days, the soldiers stationed along the DMZ and at the JSA are very serious and highly trained. This is not a place for conscripts. This is a place with rapid response teams that can be in full gear and ready in 90 seconds. Soldiers on both the South and North are skilled in judo, taekwondo, and ninja. The following two pictures give you a bird's eye view of what...
