On September 6th, the Leslie L. Dan Pharmacy Building officially opened. www.greatspaces.utoronto.ca/projects/pharmacy.htm It is home to the newly expanded University of Toronto Pharmacy Department, located on the northwest corner of College St. and University Ave near the Ontario Legislature building, Queen's Park. The building was designed by Norman Foster & Partners, who have also brought us the Swiss Re Tower (aka "the Gherkin") among other great buildings. www.fosterandpartners.com/ The Pharmacy Building doesn't look nearly as flashy as the Gherkin from the outside - you'd be forgiven for thinking it was just another glass box.
