The Harbison Dairy, located at Coral & Abigail Streets in Kensington, closed in the early 1960's much like many of the factories in this part of the city. To this day the milk bottle water tower still remains a prominent landmark for this neighborhood. Several attempts have been made in recent years by community nonprofits to have the bottle repainted, but unfortunately the owner isn't too keen on the idea. A small section of the first floor has been rented out as a produce market for the Hispanic community in the area. The rest of the building is vacant. To...
