 Big cities have smog alerts. Seoul gets Yellow dust/sand alerts. Wind picks up sand from the Gobi Desert in China and Mongolia and sends it down onto Korea. The South Korean government has been spending quite a bit of money to plant trees in China in the hope that Yellow dust/sand levels would decrease. I went to get shoes today and noticed the dust right away. It burns the nose and throat a bit.
