I sound old.:) jack: sorry evil, but you missed those day's of cruising in my 60 chevy impala, blasting the beatles music, i saw her again last night, you know she makes me feel allright, she was just 17 and you know what i mean, i saw her there with,,,,,,and the rolling stones can't... jack: mercury and whom? jack: my aunt lived on bay 8th street and i loitered many an evening in the parks there, also we played lots of ball there off the belt, i must have walked those pathways a million times. jack: where is that box? jack: by the way, thanks kricket for the pic's, i always enjoy seeing brooklyn. jack: i was hitting balls at that range last summer, the parachute jump, and next to it was a carousel back in the old day's, from the parachute looking down the boardwalk you can see some trees, that was where the old half moon hotel was located, a lot of crazy... jack: the rose tatoo, once my buddies and i went for tatoos, we wanted 'rangers' tatooed on our left shoulders, but i was chicken, couldn't stand the needle going into my skin, the next day i was jumping. Ilona: People in the stations seem to be "on hold" and I like that. Ilona: Jack, Thank you.
This picture was taking in parisian market. The guy was absolutely amazing and he was smoking himself a little dooby. I just thought "He probably knows what matters in life".
I tried to avoid all the tourist stuff in Paris and find my own. jack: for pete's sake what does jolis mean. jack: by the way kate, your up on your french i see, i studied latin, i wanted to be a doctor. jack: good day little dog, you look (don't know the next word) probably because i never studied french, but in Metz Fr. i met some pretty little french girls and they taught me, cher tiem, mon cheri, parlex vous englais? i guess that was it for a GI. of... jack: ilona, you have to tell us a little something about yourself and the picture, seems interesting, you know i never went to paris, flew over it but never in it, my uncle gave me some photos of paris when he helped liberate it in WWII, the eiffel tower was his... jack: i worked up stairs on the 40th floor of penn plaza, the windows went from the ceiling down to the floor and if you stood right up against the glass you could almost see straight down to the ground, it was nice commuting because i went from the train to... russian that area is. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: bonjour petit chien. vous semblez jolis. CartLegger: that 4th one is sure a classic. Better watermark 'em. CartLegger: That's definitely not my Paris, which makes it all the more lovely.
Great to have you on the site. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: It's a newer building, definitely way after WW2. Ilona: I LOVE this picture. I wish I was so uninhibited. Ilona: That's awesome. Big music from a little man. Ilona: Thank you Serlingrod. I remember many night of sleeping in airports and train stations, holding your bags with one hands and wiping drool with the other.:) serlingrod: welcome to citynoise, Ilona. I love your pics. as far as this one goes, I've definitely been there. reminds me of late nights waiting for the LIRR. Gene Underwood Chester, SC: My wife and I have been coming to Mr Bishop's Castle every chance we get since 1980. It is a truly inspiring sight to see. Amazing to see what one man with God's help can accomplish. This is the kind of man that made this country great and free. Peter: those are some great shots... i, for one, would love to see more... nice gherkin, too... Peter: love the graf, love the red bird! too bad i cant read the car number, or i could probably tell you exactly where this shot was made, ca. '95... James: When was this building built? It may have been designed before WWII as was the Navy barracks in california. No evil connotations at that time related to the symbol, just the best exposure to sun and air as the buildings probably were not air conditioned. anon (p179n5.ruraltel.net): I live in Norton, and I have to say that these pictures are seriously not typical of the town. They are of alleys, and how many people are hanging out in alleys? Well, if they are, I sure wouldn't want to be meeting them lol. Also, the other pictures are...
