Previous Day :: Next DayAndrew Smith: Let's just get along. I love USA and Uganda and Wales and India and New Zealand and Chile and Cuba and Angola and Afghanistan and ...... well, at least I love the millions of decent people living in all countries. Not sure about some of the Governments though. Andrew Smith: Shit, no, I mean you saved our butts in World War 2. Cheers, you cunts. Andrew Smith: No I'm not - we saved your butts in World War 2. Andrew Smith: Just joining in the spirit of the thread - peace people. Andrew Smith: Rocker Action - get your own fucking language, you cunt. rupe: banksy.co.uk or come knocking around brick lane and see what's on offer cosmos att.ReX: felizidades por sus grafos ya estancreciendo att.su bue havek: Skaper - Disme - AOR Crew is the shit! have you guys seen them around? aer suzuki: thanks, all susannah: I'm starting to think Canada's very cool (no pun intended). Michelle: From my apartment balcony - I live just off of Broadview. joey: the photo is cropped so that you don't see the damage. the bronze base of the statue was 'torn'. there is a big hole.
i was living in cleveland heights at the time and my brother claims he was awakened by the explosion. jeeff: where did you take these photos from? a few years ago i went traipsing around the abandoned brickworks (like many others have done - there was once a rave in there on halloween night!). what a cool place. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: All fantastic, but the last one...sublime. Kat: I love the third picture. It always makes me smile to see a grin like that on an older person's face, when they've been through so much pain in their lives. My grandparents fought in the Philippines as guerilla's and I can barely help jumping whenever we're all... Michelle: He's been at it a long time. Everyday all summer he sat outside my office building 8 am - 5 pm. SuziQ: Even better than the place mentioned above is a place close to the subway called "FreezePeach Cafe". It's right on the corner of 29th Street and Ditmars Blvd, but hidden away a little because it's not right on Ditmars. (The entrance is actually just off 29th). Great Free Trade Coffee,... miryam: Something to give any cynic their faith in humankind back. Thank you, Don Justo. jeeff: ps. thanks for the kind words all. it turns out an alfa romeo can corner fast too. as one friend aptly put it, "who gets hit by an alfa romeo?" jeeff: then it's only right to say pathos cuz that was definitely tickling my brain. i love that photo! jeeff: i went by here in the daytime and the whole area is full of poison ivy. there are signs. how did i escape? jeeff: how's that for the power of the internet. jeeff: my other 3 are pizza pops, hot dogs, and bagels. no lie. Brad: Nah, he's scamming, look at his shoes. Did he try to lure you into the alley to sit in the sleigh? It's ok, show us on the doll where he touched you. anon (pc57.broad.dynamic.fz.fj.cn.cndata.com): Thank you for sharing.
i guess Santa get into finacial trouble too procyon: I'm confused. He doesn't look damaged...? chiamattt: jeeff: to be honest man. I was less than half a meter away from him. The neighborhood I was in was really cool, but because of all the metal shavings and peices of random sharp and tiny objects, I tucked my pants into my socks. I just walked past him... GGP: these are great--so warm, in just the right places EvilGentleman: Mmmmmm, grease. One of my four major food groups. My other three food groups are sugar, salt and starch. jeeff: all the food there is big, greasy, and great for a hangover. haven't tried the burrito specifically tho. John Kovats: I was born in Paterson,...Lived there till I was about 12,.I remember Libbys,.now someone else has it and it don't taste the same. I remember the Plaza movie theater,2 movies and a cartoon for .50,what a deal,.went to school #19,.lived on Sheridan Ave. I remember Baldwins store on Union... joey: hey steel. i was down in santa cruz today. i saw a yard sale and thought of you, but took no pictures. are you re-doing your '67 bug? got any new shots to post? joey: guardian of the arts. yet - did you know?
The Thinker Vandalized
At approximately 1am on March 24, 1970, a bomb irreparably damaged the Cleveland Museum's version of Rodin's The Thinker. The bomb itself had been placed on a pedestal that supported the enlargement and had the power of about three sticks... joey: a telephone on a vending machine? now there is something i've never seen before. never. joey: well, rainy days can be sad. EvilGentleman: I see Sneaky Dee's in the second last photo. What are their burritos like? EvilGentleman: I'm wondering if it is still possible to attach links to photos here on citynoise.
