Previous Day :: Next DayJime 10, boston, MA, usa: fuck etch? etch is totally a natural progression of graffiti. just like those stupid wild style murals where you can't even make out a single letter in a 15 color spaghetti "burner" with tons of doodads but no REAL style but everybody drools over it anyways... ever since the cleaning... soyelmango: I thought it was just me who saw these little animals holding the tracks on the DLR. There is a book of 'faces' in the photographer's gallery bookshop. Norman Oder: see a dissection of NY Times coverage of the Atlantic Yards project at
www.dddb.net/times and follow-up blog: TimesRatnerReport.blogspot.com ian: Nice! Peter: i agree. but nevertheless, there are folks out there that have never seen it before... micah: fuck etch. Peter: hmm, or doing ballet in shelltops and adidas gear. Peter: i think youre right, jeeff. jeeff: someone needs to start breaking in a tutu and pointy slippers. it could be revolutionary. jack: i've seen that garage down on 38th st and third ave. i like the seat. i can use it right about now. jack: cheery sort of chap. jack: very interesting. jack: i enjoy looking a ballerinas but the male dancers kind of turn me off. although i would like to wear those tights to see how bad i would look. ballet is boring, i like flamengo. jack: i think i went out with that women at some time. jack: nice photo. people study. the waiting, the sadness of walls deviding humans. violence has made us so cautious that we may end up with robots serving us food. jack: too bad, there goes our tax money again. kp: Thanks to everyone :o) Anonymous (PROXY2.NYU.EDU): wow
Awesome! Love the sun over the statue, especially boo: neck coffee? is that like neck face?
hehe Selig: bah... second pic no go. Jamie: it's an 80's retro kinda place Jamie: aah.. it's true what they say. We are two nations seperated by.... the atlantic ocean. ahem. Jamie: i second that. i like these pics, they exhibit the same kinda lo-fi weirdness quality that my funny old toycam did. Jamie: Steady on, it's not International Talk like a Pirate Day yet. No. that's monday. Peter: when you do, you can bet we'll wanna see em! Peter: heh, slang-wise... probably! elaine: harr! Jamie: thankyou for my photo elaine JayEastsider: I guess they don't want anybody sitting there. My favorite is the sun one I took that off the balcony of the 17th floor in an apartment building in the Bronx near Bedford Park subway station. I have alot more cooler nyc pic's but I just moved and have to... Jamie: does the word snatch have the same meaning in the us as it does in the uk? elaine: that's dark Peter: at least its not like the fast food joint i used to go to up in harlem, in which the attendant would pass your food to you through the glass in a a metal bank drawer. that was bad news. elaine: i bet it is, and i bet they have. i havn't seen tht kind of thing in a while, but it does exist in the uk Peter: its bullet-proof glass. im sure theyve been robbed often enough to merit it, sadly enough. elaine: the counter shield thing has got a kennel-y feel about it Peter: sweet! i remember that one now... elaine: i'm glad you're back online. i liked your london pix, very different from mine, sorely missed Peter: awesome! thanks jayeastside! im glad you posted some photos, dude.
also: as a brooklynite, i love the brooklyn sign, heh. Peter: i like the anti-sit! Peter: breaking is a form of ballet. steelisreal: *sigh* how i do miss london
wierd to think it has been 2 years since i have lived there. My two years in london were way to short.
thanks for all the pictures.
vz: the layering effect is definitely what makes this view preferable over the other side of the skyline, where the buildings are taller but fewer. Roy Otis: Signal Gasoline was the sponsor of the radio show 'The Whistler' back in the days before tv, when radio was king. Spanky: haha i love the last pic. Amy: Thanks for this cool post.
I must dig up my pictures of the Owl House in Nieu Bethesda, in the Karoo in South Africa. There is a very clear relationship.
In the meanwhile check out: www.owlhouse.co.za/gallery2.html Selig: hehe... neverland is where i like to go. Selig: red dress is hot. Chino: Love that graf. "HOT" Chino: I love you Chicago and everything in it. The good, the bad and the uuugly! jeeff: thanks chino. if you have any pictures of chicago or graf to share, please post! Chino: I love theme hot graff scenes. Nice work. Chino: The roots. 1st New York and at the same time Chicago was rigth there ready for that good old cta track underground bombing alley roof top bombs. Chino: I love graf. I use to bomb some hot s#!t back in the day. Yes, today alot is wac. Today no one can appreciate good graff. Everyone see's the weak graff and say it's vandalism giving good graff artist a bad name. To all my fellow bombers, reall street artist,... Chino: Hot s#!t!!! Chino: I like the picture of the Gaurdian Angels. We also had those G A in good old Chicago. Chino: good work on the old skool flix, keep it up Pete! I like your style. Laura : This is incredible! JayEastsider: Thanks jeeff JayEastsider : Did you notice the caption on the front of the paper va va vroom sorta befitting don't you think Chino: gotta love my paper.Respect to all the figthing souls of my wonderfull Humboldt park. Keep the struggle. And to all youth out in the park, focus your talent on something else besides a group of walking death traps. OLd school folks and old school brothers it's been a "HELL"of a... Chino: Gangs you ant s#!t with out your followers. What's a man? A man to stand up for your hood your block. What's a gang sing? A bunch of fingers going in the air, you fools. That's not what you die for. You die from stupidity. Honnor yourself before you honnor... Roger: If anyone knows of upcoming tours, I would be greatly interested.
Thanks.
roger2229427@yahoo.com jeeff: ha, nice! it makes me feel all warm inside to see a toronto sun newspaper box destroyed. jeeff: don't worry, the almighty Editor will get rid of it. jeeff: ah i really like these. forgot about them till chino commented. Chino: I remember good times, sweet happy friendly. That's nothing on how the greens were. Candy man that's the greens but it's all slowly fading in with time. Chicago is growing and growing fast. Chino: the bum. I always see that same bum by my house. No doubt! Chino: For wicker park to change, wow. I remember it use to be full of my and other graffiti artist tags and fill-ins and old run down hot dog stands even hookers nasty one. Wicker park is TATA. chino: love that train and alley. Chino: Sweet!!! robert: hey cool! i'm from seattle. it's funny, even the "rough" ends of seattle are like...nice compared to most other cities. chino: "graffiti is dead". Today beautifil as ugly shity graffiti wont last a day on a wall. We're in 2005 no more pretty graffiti. I use to graf up in the late 80's to mid 90's. It will never be the same!
"REST IN PEACE GRAFFITI" Chino: Carbon monoxide, rats, pollution, abandoned warehouse and blood stains next to beautiful
flowers in the midd 80's to late 90's is how my youth was raised. Yet I still love my city better know as Chicago! Hate to none and love to all. Rest In Peace to all my lost souls. chino: No doubt. We're a pretty grimmy city. chino: naw,we're cold hearted! chino: love the view of my lost souls in the grims of Chicago CHICAGO ROCKS... JayEastsider : I must have done something wrong I don't seem my pictures :( Previous Day :: Next Day |
