aer suzuki: pretty majestic, even with the veil. i like the arches near the top.

in response to Williamsburgh Savings Bank Clocktower in Mourning

aer suzuki: yeah that must be it, because the other half of the problem is having the trees/ground come out too dark. my camera only shoots .jpg and doesn't do well with sky & landscape combinations sometimes. wish there was a way around that. need to upgrade someday...anyway thanks, appreciate the comment.

in response to Rosegarden

hometownfan: Are there a lot of abandoned buildings in Portland?

in response to dreams

hometownfan: Wow. And this is IN the city limits? I've heard of this park...how cool, you don't have to go far to go for a walk in the woods. And that would be Tacoma where it rains 14 mts of the years.

in response to Winter in Forest Park

Pej: really like the pics and title

in response to Alone in the Crowd

hometownfan: I really like the first one - random art... Is this a municipal bench or somebody's own property? either way - it's a cool thing - it doesn't HAVE to be there - somebody went out of there way to put it there.

in response to October 03 2006 Toronto

Tyfoid Kid: I think the colors look great. Doesn't the overexposure come from the CCD in the camera trying to compensate between darker objects on the ground the bright sky? It's the algorithm it uses when it mashes all that RGB together to make that .jpeg file. That's why people shoot RAW...

in response to Rosegarden

Cameo: I'm very impressed with the coffee cup sugar image... it doesn't look like it was staged at all.

in response to October 03 2006 Toronto

sine: Update II: Electric Boogaloo this right now from www.cnn.com "Roth would not release details of Foley's alleged molestation, saying only that making it public "is part of Mark's recovery" and that Foley would discuss it further when he is released from a center where he's being treated for alcoholism and mental issues....

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

aer suzuki: i'm glad this one bobbed to the surface again, what a great series, love the theme.

in response to Pining Away

sine: Update: I just watched the ABCNews report on Nightline about the Foley 'incident'. Earlier I had reported Mark Foley's connection with Scientology after he entered rehab in Clearwater, FL (Refer to above article). Segment one involved reportage on futher instant messenger conversations held between Foley and the teenage page, wherein Foley...

in response to U.S. Congressman Foley

zagg: i'm loving the 2nd one --- though it reminds me of threadless.com --- would make a interesting t-shirt image :D

in response to Pining Away

in response to Day One of the European Adventure

aer suzuki: i like your post titles, didn't mean to suggest otherwise in my other comment...cool shots, the sugar packet made me laugh. those are great fonts they used as well.

in response to Day One of the European Adventure

zagg: ksedge: how about a dog with a COLOURED mohawk? in Bear's later years I would randomly colour his 'hawk with marker :D

in response to Cool Dog

aer suzuki: kadesh : the big pulsing third eye in my forehead. wait- which shot? the photo directly above your comment is someone else's, only the views from the harbor are mine. i always picture in relative isolation. and i picture downtown sort of how it's displayed in my post, from the...

in response to Harbor Tour

zagg: None what so ever, ALTHOUGH! I did get an awfully nice meeting with my boss letting me know my temp. position was ending 3 months early: 3 days after christmas! Also worked with racists homophobes each day, driving me nut-balls. But I'm not bitter, no... :D

in response to Copyright? What Copyright?

zagg: i, for two, also like the pointing silhouette. it worked out well.

in response to Your Reflection Approaches and then Recedes Again

zagg: I always notice the difference between Canada and the US when I cross the border to Michigan and suddenly every space is covered in advertisements. Sure we have ads, no doubt but I would say a much lower percentage in your average area. Billboardorama.

in response to The Walrus Edifice

aer suzuki: this is amazing, we don't have anything like this in seattle, to my knowledge.

in response to Street Art

Kadesh: Also... The coolest place to photo this place, is from the little park in the back. You have to go up the front steps, take a left, and go all the way around. There is a tree back there... It's the greatest place...

in response to The Darth Vader Building

Kadesh: Yes! My favorite! The source of all evil. Bow down before it's majesty!
