Hey Jack...have you (or are you already) considered posting on the Coney Island USA Message Boards?
Balloonhedz: actually I had my first Coney hot dog not at Nathans but the TA Employee luncheonette on the overpass. I used to ride with a Motorman on the F out of Jamaica as a buff.

Peter: www.mavenmag.com/article_sekt_0102.php Peter: huh! what a strange but fascinating post. thanks. i certainly agree that UXO is a major problem in many parts of the world, and its nice to know someone is doing something about it. aec.army.mil/usaec/technology/uxo00.html
on a completely tangential note, does anyone think that the photos of the backhoe resemble a... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I will also name my firstborn Hool.
It will be Alexander Hool Tiberius Wolf Penfold-Waxman.
And he'd better be as talented as Hool.
New guy: Have any of you people ever been to mavenmag.com and read the SEKT article? I think that's what's gonna happen to this forum...basically a graffiti press conference exam exposed: If you read from the begining there is a guy called SMILEY who is really EXAM givin himself props and EXAM is not even in ER he is writes somethin wack like REDMAN or something and is in a crew called CP GGP: sweet! Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I'm so glad you like it. The sun does hit Grand Central in the afternoon, so I'll try to get the shot. On this photo, I liked the way the light building behind contrasts the statue in front. The big black building is the Grand Hyatt (I think). ea: just in the last several months it's been converted to a restaurant. there's a giant stainless steel vent hood in the middle of the space visible through all the garage doors from the street. only reason to have that much venting's gotta mean bbq jack: am i homophobic? jack: JESUS was not a sex radical. thats blasphemous. but why am i intrigued by the 'L' females over the gay guys. it bugs me when i see two guys kissing but to see females kissing seems ok. i feel a sence of loss when i see... jack: peter usually takes great pictures but catherine you have out done all with this shot. it is and should be a poster for manhattan. i worked for a while as concierge at the grand hyatt and this photo should be on their walls. jack: coney was a mysterious place for kids. there were many interesting places you could visit for excitement. the fortune tellers were the gypsies of new york city who would come down to coney for the summer to make a quick buck. they would flirt with you and... jack: listen, if you want to see coney island the way it was in the early fifties get a movie called, "the little fugitive" i was the same age as the kid in the movie and i lived within walking distance of coney. jack: these are great. i traveled that train everyday when i lived in bklyn. it was called the sea beach line. i remember running down the ramp to get to surf ave to cross over and get a frank at guess what the name is of the frankfurter joint.... Balloonhedz: dont worry til you have entire weeks like that ;-)
Balloonhedz: thar she blooooooows!~
Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I'll get you their tag. It's obviously very localised. Peter: email don. his comment says his email addy is ddzieciuch@yahoo.com Peter: heh. looks like they slipped when they were painting the bottom left "i", by the looks of the streak of paint heading ground-ward.
nice. happy graf. lol.
so there are people that paint "34th Ave 4ever" there? id like to see some shots of that stuff. sounds amusing. annie: dude, i've seen that guy before. i remember him because of the sad, scary legs Maira: this goes to don who wrote on june 28. My husband haad a stoke 2 yrs.ago and I've been looking for a bike for 2. Are you still selling your bike? mmll6@earthlink.net this is what i need to help my husband built his strength
my # is... Ian: It's weird... I'm actually listening to 'The Whistler' right now on internet radio, and heard this ad (which wasn't edited out), so decided to google it and see if there were any remnants of this piece of postwar consumerism left... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: And the reflections in the last one are pretty cute, too.
Nice pictures! Peter: yeah, i was gonna say that sounds like stonehenge, paulg. that area around grand central isnt the best for direct sunshine, thats for sure. but i bet working there, she has a good idea of when things look photogenic...
i, for one, would love to see more shots. i love aerial... Woofy: HAHA, thats good, Yeah!! stop the Homophobics!!! They shall DIE dondo: that girl in the first one is pretty cute kc: I like these photos. Especially because I've walked this way millions of times and somehow never noticed the grids...another new dimension, thanks to citynoise. Anonymous (adsl-67-65-11-25.dsl.austtx.swbell.net): awesome pictures. elaine: jonah eye view! Paul G: Peter is right: that is a good composition. That pic says a lot about the history of architecture in NYC.
If the sun struck the neo-clasical structure in the center, it would be a million dollar photo.
Urban landscape is demanding: there might only be one hour, of one day, of... ian: Most Americans eat other mammals almost every day :) Balloonhedz: it used to be Mobile Emergency Room Van or MERVan before EMS was taken over by FDNY. Balloonhedz: *blinkblink*
y'know GGP....
thats gotta be the most INTERESTING thing someones ever said about my work. Thank you most sincerely :-)
