Previous Day :: Next DayAshamed of all!!: I just want to say that everyhting I have read here, has made me very ashamed.. I'm glad that they are imporving Humboldt Park, weather its through whites moving in or not.. Because all the ignorance I have seen on this site shows what my daughter has to look... GOYA: i "shopped" yer moms. YO SEKTO! elaine: take your camphone with you into the next dream. elaine: harr. that wins. i love the laughter lines on tapface Peter: thank god for streetlights. Peter: well, im assuming they were probably from chicken wings, the cafeteria's #1 seller, heh. still, the idea of a bird eating a bird, etc... josh leaf: pretty nice for bein a camera fone aand in the dark josh leaf: quite odd to find bits of meaty pigeon bones on the sidewalk, eh? GGP: my first haircutter, when I was a kid, was named Nick, but we called him "Mr. Nick." terry: i got my hair cut there! the hair dresser cut her finger. my hair was covered in blood lol Peter: also: just poked around online a bit and found this similar-looking jeep:
Peter: looks like blue undercoating coming out of under the orange in some of those shots. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Thanks, Peter. If you scroll down and just look at the bottom of the picture, it's like three overlapping pages of a magazine. The photos I've posted so far may not seem to be candid, but they are from my day to day. I just spend a lot of time... kc: very nice... kc: I found myself wandering around in the Willys Jeeps sites, since I never knew they existed. I think you can date it from the color--which looks like it might be called Transport Yellow? Like the early/mid 50s?? Anyhow, sometimes they are for sale, for around $7000....altho I suspect that depends... GGP: kind of wiley e. coyote like, I might add. wow. everything is morphing into everything else--! Peter: aah! that rules! i love how the column comes up between the brick building and the glass building, and how the statues just seem to lap over the brock building. very pretty. you did well with this one... Peter: bathroom sink robot-face:
Peter: too much. Peter: oh, duh... i knew that, of course, just commenting faster than i could think ;) GGP: those first 3 shots are like being in the throat of a whale. great! Balloonhedz: theyre still assigned to the F. Minus the blue stripe (cheaper that way) theyve been renumbered, had different controls put in, probably overhauled at some point since theyre almost 30 years old now. The brakes used to make a distinctive whistling sound when they were released. jose paredes: how much would it cost for painting over the graffiti each year Balloonhedz: um...actually its LIRR ;-) Balloonhedz: I used to see them downtown once in a while too..I think they were ranting about Y2K. I havent seen them around in a while, thought maybe theyd quit or something. Theyre entertaining at the very least if you remember not to take them seriously. Peter: its fun to find where the patters from the molds repeat in permastone facades. especially if it sa large building. cause the molds are usually only like 6x8' at the largest, heh. GGP: it sure looks pretty perma.
unfortunately, it's also ugla. mohawkwarrior18: native 4 life baby! Peter: C-Town got restocked last night! Check it out:
the stinky smoked whitefish again...
...and of course some chav brew for jamie ;) Peter: lol, ian, whats that? Peter: heh. thats a permastone wall. looks like sandstone (sort of) but is man-made. alot of brownstones that were renovated in the fiscal crisis of the 70s-80s were faced in cheap permastone as opposed to terra cotta or real sandstone, as they would have been originally.
www.pearlpaint.com/shop~ocID~299 . . . ~2961~categoryID~2956.htm Peter: its all some crazy power-game, yo. Peter: who said it did? Peter: im so gonna get up in their face for some photos next time i see em... Peter: yep, there seem to be two trains of thought on this matter:
1) getting up
2) putting up something that looks good
see the "fuck neck face" entry for more of this
why do there seem to be so few folks who can do both... simultaneously? Peter: hahahaha, word. i think ive done most of those thigns already today.
gotta second the hating schoolkids on the train, and the pizza/graf spots.
and after yesterday's rain, our lobby is paper mache'd with freaking menus and flyers. Peter: i had a dream the other night that sine and i were walking down by the river, and passed a bunch of guys doing tons of crazy parkour moves. i turned to her and said, "dude, we totally have to get some shots of this for citynoise".
lol! colavito's ghost: That "leeto" tag is pretty shitty. I'm really bothered by graf artists that believe the height of the art is "being everywhere". Throwing your name up doesn't make one gangsta. Show me something nice, leeto, or go away. J.O.P: Hey Guys ! this is great stuff... I like to get into it properly but can't find a place near my area. I live in Woking (near Guilford) if u know of a place where Pk is practice, please let us know!!! Cheeers. jeeff: really cool, i always wondered about these guys. great article & thread. StripesA4: uve seen someone punched in da face
your know iof 5 orginial rays
StripesA4: ight i got a couple:
1) u save a quaurter by taking the free paper instea of buying one and think you're savvy.
2) u check the walls of an unfamilair neighborhood for graffditit so see who runs the hood.
3) u hate thre downtown trains in da moring ansd the uptown in... StripesA4: well not crazy persay but out the ordinary StripesA4: yoo them dudes is crazy. they are fanatics. they be on 34th as well across the sdtreet from macys. they look at me like im white but im so puertorican i got it coming out my eyes so i guess they recoginize. anyway yea they a bunch of crazy dudes,... d: that shit looks nothing like a broken guitar... sofia: los de guanajuato son muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy nacos con N mayuscula. sofia: que nacos son los de guanajuato d: ditto..sick shot d: don't believe the hype...it rains here 24/7 for nine months...you don't want to come to this overcrowded town d: isn't it funny how the authorities think gray and brown squares look better thatn graffiti art? kind of silly joey: is that a faux brick wall? brooklyn style barry: Very nice photos.Willys out of luck. ian: The produce can't be nearly as bad as Disco Krogers. jakob: that niggas wack.... jakob: thats shit s illin Previous Day :: Next Day |
