Previous Day :: Next Daysarah: I saw this piece of Banksy work when I moved home to Liverpool for the first time in 6 years and i agree.. his work has turned an eyesore into a work art, that I feel rivels if not leaves in the dust the city paid for 'art' (yoko ono)... praz: to the person who said sane tagged their yearbook id like to see it.
Editor:: sometimes, when free-time is at a premium and there is a rush to clean up 250-500 spam/flame/trash-talking comments in 5 minutes, the good accidentally gets tossed out amidst the bad. believe me, if its happened, its unintentional. all apologies. please dont take it personally. it was just a housekeeping oversight.
and... EvilGentleman: I find it frustrating that when I ridicule the trash-talkers, my comment gets deleted, yet the prejudiced trash-talk remains. I thought citynoise upheld higher ideals than what I have seen lately. I am getting increasingly disappointed with what I see. Why is this thread still even open? The Scientology Connection (from a former Scientologist): I hope this isn't a repeat entry... but as someone who was in Scientology for longer than I want to admit, I can say that the photo isn't enough to go on, no matter what anyone says about it. Scientology honors dignitaries and celebrities as a way of getting those... Jerry Pflugh: 17th Oct 2006 : My dad, Ted Pflugh, was Commander of that VFW post, the Mohr-Christie Post #158, several times during the fifties, and my mom, Eileen, was President of the Ladies Auxiliary. They were in office when the post mortgage was paid off. As a kid I remember the Poppy drives, parades on... zagg: Submerged Weir? Mike Weir? golfing? what?
Ah good times. zagg: Ah, brings back sweet memories of going to Church st. for the first time. Hahaha (I laugh, but its true) JS: Why can the English never spell? All I seem to get is incoherent rants that I can't even read because there is no punctuation, and they're only full of racist obscenities anyway.
I am English, and don't kid yourselves - some of you little Englanders are the type who love nothing... emma b.hope: fab images take me from small town america to mysterious filmic reality phantasy david lynchish territory... to where i am not infrequently found-hospital, trying to be in touch despite feeling alienated and bewildered (often).but hey,int life rich!no double entendre intended but i really did see a glittery gold book and... Daniel Ewing: i think this i one rediculas article because there is no reason to change my hometown yankeesSUCK: I know I almost cryed the other day...i tried to go to the Q after 1:00am the other night at the same corner it was closed...i had to eat at Timmy H...wasnt as good....I hope they open later soon....need after partying munchees subs!! jane his wife: The primerib 12 inch...WOW you all must try...it f#@%n rocks...honestly SUBWAY is dogfood....i cant wait for a Quiznos in my part of town chrissy: Also I live near Cabrini. It is safe as long as you keep to yourself. If you are looking for trouble, it is not hard to find. I also have never seen "white boy killer" spray painted anywhere. That is a myth. chrissy: Anyone know anything about the shooting this past Saturday around 1300 N. Sedgwick? MrDude: Does anyone is actually able to FULLY understand the parking signs in Montreal..But I mean..REALLY...like when you have 5 signs in the same spot..and you just wanna make a 15 min stop. colavitos ghost: the sign in the second one makes the weir sound like an amusement park thrill ride. jack: prophetic wisdom prof: in bg of #3:"theres no place like this place anyplace"(?)
just adds to the confusion little ukraine: I don't know how you got #3, but it is really great. So are the rest, of course. jack: there is a bar on the west side in the village with guys that look like that, but they are the nicest guys and very well read. jack: pic-1-at least i can use it to hang my hat on.
pic-2-someone please draw the shades.
pic-3-they went that-a-way but if you go this way, no, maybe it was the other way, well any way did we help you?
pic-4-did anyone see my aunt? she was wearing black shoes, black pants and a... Cameo: the guy on the left looks like zanta jack: it wouldn't last a second like that in newark. jack: i was just going to say that. jack: and blue jack: i don't know, but it looks like him. but it could be a limo driver, you know, how those limo drivers always look like someone you know. jack: there was this girl in this sweater once walking down greenwich street by liberty street she had curves like an hour glass and the sands of time were pouring down. jack: colavito, its a joke. this was written back in the 60's and it came out of an old printing company, the sorg in manhattan off the east river drive just south of the south street seaport. but almost the same thing happened in the company i worked for... chiamattt: nice Sirhcbre: And lonely procyon: that is horrifying. Sirhcbre: It looks abandoned. colavitos ghost: i wish i had a poster depicting a beetle playing a guitar while on it's back. colavitos ghost: this is inappropriate zagg: You only wanted to include part of the net meme? (http://www.theparticle.com/fun/fun.php?topic=corporate&id=529)
For a minute I thought I was reading the crappy forwards that land in my inbox and not Citynoise. zagg: bye bye. zagg: webster.com shows it can be pronounced three different ways, including mine -- so even if i'm just a silly sarnian, i think i'll say it my way ;x kricket: for the most part, i'm sick of big empty sterile manicured green fields of grass that no one walks on (usually it just looks like a poor excuse for green space) - but here i like the way it works along the waterfront. barry: Co,Fermanagh.N,Ireland.The word Quay is used on road signs to let people no were thay can get their boat on,off the water. jeeff: that hat must have belonged to the famed princess of the cowboys. jack: you are so correct. i thought no one was really watching. the last one is in new jersey. you must be a manhattanite you got the street perfectly. i am really impressed. i was going to pick up my son at his apartment on ave...
