Previous Day :: Next DayChristina: You guys are all funny. Peter: im not a big fan of segways, but i think the 4-wheeled segway "centaur" looks pretty cool!
Peter: awesome! thanks. you can post some stuff of your own, you know, if you like ;) Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I'm no expert, but they are an upright personal conveyance. I believe that they are easy to ride (you just stand on them) and you can zoom around without falling over as they are gyroscopically centered. People who love technology and who have lots of money buy them. They look... Nerida: Peter i just stumbled across this site and have been looking at your photos...i really like your style, you capture what you see so well, there is so much distilled in every image. i feel like i just spent the night in a gallery! RuneWillem-Norway,Oslo..: Cathrine.. can you tell me what this is..? what is it for..? Segway....
Peter: hahahaha... when stuff like this happens, i prefer the smug/brazen approach... i just elbow my wife sitting next to me, chuckle and say something like "hey baby, this weird bitch is pinching my ass! check it out!"
that always does the trick. not that i get my ass pinched alot, but... GGP: thanks, Peter Pumpkinseed Eater!
is the first-ever appearance of a recipe on citynoise?
will try this recipe this weekend--cityyum!
Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I've got to think of a way to cobble together an Aeron chair and a Segway. I'll need a holder for my Treo and iPod....
I like the electric three-wheelers that the cops currently buzz around in. I once convinced an English friend that they were community cops who had ice... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: No parking. Even not waiting (I think). Peter: we just remove em, wash em (to get all the gooey pumpkin-innards bits off of them) and bake them at 350 until they look done or start to brown a bit.
thats if you like them dry.
the way i prefer them is to wash them, dry them, coat a baking... GGP: yeah. the snowman is clever.
I am looking for good seed-roasting recipes...Peter??? Peter: totally. what does the double-yellow line mean in the uk, right next to the curb? no parking? we have em only down the center of the road, where they mean no passing. elaine: harr, i put that one in for you! right up your alley, i thought Peter: new yorkers love halloween cause its a chance to be stupid, dress up, and generally do all the stuff you cant do on other days, from eating candy to dressing wierd to tossing eggs, heh.
i love the shot of the trick-or-treaters hitting the liquor store. thats classic! :) Peter: damn, too bad the speakers are broken on my work computer. ill certainly have to check it out when i get home.
i always love the multimedia entries, hool. the audio adds a new- yet strikingly congruent- dimension to your photos. thanks. Peter: frank, these are amazing! i really dig 5pointz, and im totally psyched tha tyou shared these.
also: that van is the shit. have you seen our huge collection of graf trux and vans? www.citynoise.org/search/graf_trux
i hope you post more pictures, of graf or whatever.
thanks! Peter: man, ive got to start posting the hundreds of "tumbleweed weave" shots that i have, hahahahaha.
here's to living on the same block as a hair stylist shop! Peter: aha! this is a good entry, elaine. i love seeing fascination in the mundane. some of my fav entries on here have been people sharing everyday/pastoral stuff like this, the sort of stuff thats easy to overlook if you see it every day, knowing that its different enough (or aesthetic... Peter: heh. that snowman looking one is cool.
i like post-halloween pumpkin sales cause we get pumpkins half-off, crack em open, and roast all the seeds. yum. Peter: heh. nice. im really sstarting to like your photography, ian. i mean, i did before, too, but youve started making some fascinating, worthwhile shots lately, and i really dig em. Peter: thats awesome! i was atop rockefeller center last night (photos to come), looking out at the verrazano bridge, and its nice to see an up-close photo of it.
how do you get to this area? ive never been there, for some reason, and would love to check it out before winter... Peter: mr norway, must we really continue to rehash this dead argument? im not sure that anyone is interested anymore as you dont like so much to argue as to insult. GGP: I was standing in Green-wood cemetery, under a cloud street.
RuneWillem-Norway,Oslo..: Attention DISGUSTED.. You wrote that i should be ashemed of my lack of morals... He he, well i guess that "we up here in scandinavia" are more free minded about things than you americans down there.. I'll tell you one thing, all of this blogging on this cite... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I like the graffs clutchy hands. And the look on the kids face is priceless. elaine: serpently does, and very funny it is too.
Peter: lol... that looks suspiciously like a goya piece... sue: It just flows very nice! Peter: nope, its real. you obviously havent been across the williamsburg bridge recently, heh. elaine: ooh blue - water, bridge, -break- handrail in a dynamic poetic, nice pic Peter: gotta second the treo. its changed my life, hehehehe.
jeeff: NICE. always loving the trolleys here, for sure :) Sara: wat do ya call dat? a banksy copy... well an attempt elaine: in my kitchen
r,i,p: rest in peace to sane, nyc wouldnt be nyc without graffiti,i guess ny isnt ny no more with the sanitized higly lit streets.r,i,p sane,,,r,i,p newyork city
elaine: a tradgedy in orange! david schembri Ghaxaq Malta: Hi ppl. I was at St kilda 3 years ago. i wish that I am still there. But this wish will no longer be a wish because On end October 2006 I will be there again. But this time for 6 months or more. See ya all there ian: Classik hoooooooool. ian: Actually. Make that a Treo. Mmm... Treo. ian: I need me one of them PDA things. Elana Rosen-White: the girl in the first one is the sister of the friend who i was visiting.. she's great! :) she's young, still in hs.
and wow -- nice catch on the trumpeter! elaine: and even the moldy bread in the junction box larder isn't quite miserable enough...
actually, it is slightly worrying that it seems to be completely untouched. i took that photo today, and the previous posting on october 9th, by which time you would have thought the ratty boys would have had... elaine: well, true. even something like this is redeemed by the glossiness of the photograph/internet, the sunny day, and my pretty framing
and there is abjection in literature as well, and somehow that is similar, the very description of the object being so loving lifts it. is it impossible, then, to speak... elaine: ta, barry, but of course, none of the artwork is mine, and it is great living right in such a vibrant neighbourhood barry: Elaine I like your photos in this entry a lot. barry: nice Previous Day :: Next Day |
