Previous Day :: Next DayCatherine Penfold-Waxman: People keep asking me about the royal family, like I ever cared. My dad spent most of my childhood muttering, "Come the revolution, they'll be first against the wall." So I had to become more English to satisfy curiosity.
When are you coming back to NY, Julie Andrews? oskar: i was raised in brooklyn Bushwick my whole life recently moved out. But it has changed a Lot . when i was a teen there was alot of people robbin, sticking people up from out of town or not from around the way. we can just tell when u aint... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: The first one with the lighthouse could be Montauk, NY....until you notice the monkey. These are fabulous, Ian. So what's the story behind it being a world tour? Was your Dad on a really amazing vacation? Was he back-packing? I know that you were four years away from being sired,... jeeff: so beautiful. i can tell you're getting better with the scanner. thanks for pointing out the train in #2. i really like the bird in the middle of #5 as well. it completes the composition perfectly. haha: ahab gets pounded. haha u can't even spell ur girls name right...wtf? "abah" lil bitch ICE: u like to get pounded. ur a hater. hate to see people get up. hate to see people get fame. u need to watch ur mouth pal. i aint never herd of ya. AHAB LIKES TO GET POUNDED. THE VOICE: WHY U GOTA RIP OFF BANSKY U COULD OF AT LEAST COPIED IT TO THE FULLEST AND MADE IT LOOK GOOD ca ca: Eliminating Toys would be Eliminating yourself..the real ET is gonna roll. Sekto give em a hurts donut. WTF?: NORMEL GOT NABED CUZ HE WAS OUT THER ON THE HUSLE, OUT EVR NIGHT JUZ ASK SNEAK OR POLUTO ANY OF US UP HER IN PBG, HE HAD NEW SHIT UP EVERY DAY. message 2 n3xt: a i seen some of your stickers and shit over in west broward....they were strait but hav ya done any throw ups or burner over ther, just a question. and please dond tell me your asosiated with aquet or aqwet, AQT or wat eva that toys name is.
... ya mom: pounder? ahab? who the f*ck ever herd of you ? nobody thats cuz u r nobodys ask sombody any body who normel is and theyll say somthen about graffiti or assosiate him with it, now you? you are nothn your pussy talkers look even when u read what that "pounder"... indykid: I really love the 1st photo particularly. Do you have a site with your work on Dave?...I'd sure love a hi-res img for my desktop! elaine: haha yeah. it's amazing how english one can become. i discovered my inner julie andrews in new york, and i didn't know i had one Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I'm always expecting a wolf to eat the sun. But I when everyone was running around screaming, I would say in a very English way,"Mustn't grumble." Peter: heres a few more i found online:
Jamie: i agree. i only saw the one with the baloons on tv. it seems fitting in a way the other so totally don't. i suppose in a way the little girl being carried over the wall could symbolise hope for the people of palestine. hope executed in non-violence. the others... Jamie: just goes to show. there's a seedy underside to everything elaine: automata, yess. and funfairs, they used to be steam didn't they?
i am not against a little overkill in the right context elaine: yeah. most of the pictures i have posted on cn have been within a half hour walk of where i live and i see more things to photograph all the time. i do live in an interesting neighbourhood, but still, i am interested in the mundane.
nice work on the trick... Jamie: and what would you use the steam for? maybe it couldbe used to power a tiny automaton blacksmith like the one pictured here, though this seems to me to be overkill.
Jamie: and that's what citynoise is all about ^_^ elaine: so do you pay to use the steam or what? and what generates it? elaine: corker! Peter: i had to look up ragnarok and i found this:
www.pantheon.org/articles/r/ragnarok.html
also this (lol): www.ragnarokhorde.com Peter: ##"...Some 30 billion pounds of steam every year flow beneath the streets of Manhattan from the Battery to 96th Street. While it is unknown to most New Yorkers, Con Edison's subterranean steam system is the biggest steam district in the world, larger than the next four largest U.S. steam systems... Peter: even barbara streisand is calling for bush's impeachment, heh! im not a fan of hers in the least, but i do agree with what shes saying...
barbrastreisand.com/statements.html#ifnotnowwhen elaine: (and grumpy, and a bad speller as well to boot) elaine: me?
whodathoughtit? Jamie: oh you're sooo cynical elaine elaine: what are they for? why did they build them? i don't know anywhere else that has them jack: going to work on the bus elaine: far as i know the troops are just their to police the extraction of oil for companies such as bush and his family owns elaine: i do too, it seems unremittingly frivilous. if he had just done the one with the balloons that would have been better, alone it would have had a little poignancy Peter: im not sure its quite that simple, jack... jack: the tyrants brought their hatred for us to the wtc now bush is keeping the war in their land. think about it. Peter: this reminds me of all the graf- political, profound and otherwise- that covered the berlin wall... this wall is so similar, in many ways... physically and metaphysically. hool: i would tend to agree with the old man. a clever juxtaposition for banksy to enjoy, a shitty reminder for those whose lives are contained by that wall. Jamie:
I saw the Banksy documentary on BBC2 the other night also. Didn't reveal much i didn't lready know about him/his work apart from the stuff he put up on the security wall in Palestine. I thought that was pretty interesting.
But to answer your question, yes the Policeman Kiss can be... Peter: I walked past where that "greenpoint" mural was this past weekend... and its been buffed.
oh well. Peter: could someone PLEASE get some flicks of his newish stuff and put em on here?! Peter: and another:
theyre steam vents... theres a huge (and ancient, hah) network of steam-pipes/tunnels in nyc's infrastructure. whenever ConEd or some other utility group goes in to do work, they often have to avert/redirect/vent off the excess steam so they can get access to (or bypass) whatever it is theyre working... elliexx: i recently saw a program late on at night which opened my eyes to wonders of this artist: Banksy. His work is very inspiring and he takes art onto a whole new level for example opening a gallery that had rats crawling around the floor and the room was in... indykid: Can someone from NY please explain what these stripy "steam tubes" are actually for. I'm from the UK, but I remember seeing loads of these things when I visited NY a few years back. Is it something to do with Subway ventilation? Melissa: Need info on Pedestrian Beach, Surfside, Texas.
Thanks. JAz: Son una bola de idiotas al penar que debe nacer aqui el pedo del hack la verdad el sistema viene de otros lados, aqui no existen las herramientas ni el respaldo para hacer esto. Yo creo que deben comartir un poco de su computetes. Jamie: i've seen one of those guys before
anyone care to elaborate? Jamie: the pumpkin(g) elaine: now that is mental. it looks like a steam ship has got buried under the road mel: didnt he get stabbed for going over SABER's huge (biggest ever) piece on the los angeles river bank?? KRAM 2: JA IS A MOTHAFUCKING' BEAST!
it's almost as if though he's following me.. when i lived in jersey city... i one day saw a JA tag on telephone company box on kennedy blvd... and now i live in greenpoint and just recently saw a silver krink tag on light switch... joey: thanks everybody. maebe is a she.
